Schwab to Add 300 Jobs With Regional Expansion by EmploymentCrossing.com
Charles Schwab Corporation is planning to move one of its regional client service centers from, Fishers, a northeast Indianapolis suburb to a larger location within in the city. The retail brokerage and financial advising company says the move will create 300 new jobs by 2013.
Currently the Fishers center employs close to 800. The company plans to begin hiring the new employees late next year just in time to open the new location in early 2010. All together Schwab is putting more than $25 million into the move.
The city of Indianapolis has promised Schwab property tax abatements for ten years for moving in the city. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is also offering Schwab nearly $3.5 million in tax credits and up to $375,000 in training grants, for its job creation plans.
